I had a transplant July 1st 2007 at Albany Medical Center, Albany NY. Had known for years I had PKD and knew eventually I would end up on dialisys? Was on it for one year. Then received my kidney from a real life hero. (unknown) Well, anyway, my doctors told me that the polycistic kidneys would not be removed. No need to. No reason to. One was unhooked so the new one could replace it. The other would eventually shut down completely and die.It will be a year July 1st. I'm doing fantabulist, feel 10 years younger and look great. Have a great day!!
