and he is not on dialysis yet. He should be looking for a live donor as well, but he has decided to go with a cadaver donor. That is his choice, but I think it's wrong.
With a cadaver donor, you don't know what kind of trauma the body endured during death. You want the healthiest kidney possible, so you feel better. I would ask around to family, to see what you can see. Ask friends, too. You never know who will be a match!
