Have your mom's doctors said if it's ok for her to take fiber supplements? That's the only thing I can think off. Fiber helps absorb liquid as well as help with constipation. I hope she finds something that helps. It sounds like she's having a rough time right now.

There's also a site that has many message boards for all types of dialysis. I'd post a message there and see if anyone has had the same problem and has any advice.
