Last I heard they expected 10 years cancer free before putting the person back in the list BUT I don't know if that is true now.

With 45% function at age 51 you may never need a transplant or dialysis. There are currently two clinical trials which may produce meds which will stop or reverse cyst growth. The portable home dialysis machines will get smaller and smaller; transplants will get easier, better and last longer. If you do ever need transplant or dialysis it may bear little resemblance to what is available.

As far as cancer treatment affecting kidney function and cyst growth -- I suggest you get your oncologist and nephrologist together in planning your treatment and monitoring.

Good luck.
