I have been told one kidney is enlarged. I have elevated Liver enzymes in the past two years I have gained 50 pounds do to the pain in my upper right quad of my back. I went to a digestive disease doctor and he went in and told me my bile ducts were clogged and he cleaned them out. I have had pain in my lower back and constant to serve and dull in my right kidney area. They found nothing on scans and MRI's for my gallbladder but when the surgeron went in he found I had a rotten gallbladder and told me that he thought I would have more problems that my insides appear to be inflammed. My gallbladder was rotten and had polyps.
I was just recently diagnosed with PKD. The MRI
>>showed "multiple cysts" on the right and left kidneys.
>> The largest on ther right is 11cm's and the largest
>>on the left is 6.5cm's.
>>My nephrologist says I should not be having any pain;
>>but I do on the right side only. Sometimes it's
>>excruciating, other times it's a dull pain.. just
>>enough to let me know it's there.
>>
>>I do not have any liver cysts and my kidney function
>>appears to be normal (other than having to urinate a
>>lot). Does anyone know why my nephrologist would tell
>>me I should not be having pain? He wants me to see a
>>neurologist for sciatica and I refused. I know kidney
>>pain when I feel it.
