Hi Lauren,
Contact sports aren't recommended. But cheerleading isn't a contact sport! If you girls are piling up on top of each other, make sure you're on top to protect your kidneys. I'm 38, have kidneys the size of footballs, and play 6 hours of badminton each week, and never had a problem.
