Shannon, I am currently taking Vicodin during the day and Percocet at night so I can sleep. Lately my pain has gotten worse but I haven't seen my doc about it yet. Does the patch offer continuous relief? When the pain is so bad I think I'm going to split in two, I have used a heating pad or a ThermaCare heat wrap (in addition to pain meds of course). But I can't wear one continuosly as it creates more of a problem. A real hot bath seems to work sometimes too. Sometimes it feels like nothing works. I just lie really still in a dark room and try some breathing exercises I was taught in a Stress Management class. It doesn't get rid of the pain but helps till the strong pain meds kick in.
