I have discovered (1)1968 Ford Shelby GT 500 KR 428 Cobra Jet Shortblock in my FE collection it has a 30 overbore, block (C7ME-A),date code is (7M1) also block factory stamped >(7M28W)It has a "C cast in rear bellhousing area,"X in lifter valley high nickel content,extra bottom end webbing,block has no damage/welds are repairs.I also have (1) 428 "IU 20-20 fresh crank, 428SCJ Lemans reconditioned rods 10-10 w/ARP bolts. I'am a drag racer would rather sell block to a "Shelby Restorer" than to damage it racing. I have been told the block is also date code correct for a Ford 428cj 68 1/2 Mustang,68cj 428 cougar,68 428cj Shelby GT 500KR,also a 68 428 shelby.
