I'm never surprised to hear someone saying that. I see quite a few truck campers in the windsurfing/kiting community. Sportsmobile Vans are the other popular route, but mostly for folks without kids.

Feel free to ask questions on anything. We put a lot of thought into our decisions. Took us over a year to pick out what we wanted when it came to an RV. As I repeat often, keep a close eye on your truck payload when choosing a camper.

And the solar system was a very nice upgrade that greatly reduced my hassle factor of keeping the camper powered. I'm not what one would consider an environmentalist, but I love the idea of getting free power from the sun.
