Subject: Bird Island Camping

My wife and I visited PINS a few years ago and we were turned off by the beach trash. We are revisiting the area in June for just a few days. Will have outrigger sailing canoe with us. Will be in converted highway bus towing Jeep. Should we retry South Beach and then drive the jeep further south, or should we try a commercial campground and jeep south, or Bird Island (which looks nice on the Dogs website), or what? We just want to relax and not party. I don't want my wife arrested when she forgets parts of her bathing suit, and I don't want to listen to Snoop Doggy at 125dbs at midnight. All advice is appreciated. I am set up for "boondock" camping. Last time we went as far south as we could on South Beach 2wd camping area. This forum seemed to be (maybe) the place to get "real" info. Thanks in advance.
