Subject: Reese Titan Hitch

Hi Dog,
Great web site. I also went through the "tent to topper to truck camper" cycle. We have a 9.5 foot self-contained built by local company. It's very similar to your Lance. Carry it on a 1998 GMC K3500 (4 x 4, extended cab, 7.4L engine).

Currently installing a Reese Titan Class V hitch so that I can tow my Jeep Cherokee. Need a 24-inch stinger but haven't purchased one yet. Local dealers don't have a Titan stinger for me to see. Would you be so kind as to answer a few questions about yours?

1. How long is it?

2. How much vertical rise is there from the receiver to the end of the stinger? (I think that my camper bumper drops lower than yours.)

3. What are the gross and tongue weights of your trailer?

4. Does the stinger fit tight into the receiver?

5. Do you use any type of "immobilizer" clamps between the receiver and stinger? Between stinger and ball drop?

6. Do you experience any horizontal "wagging" of the stinger?

Would really appreciate any info and/or advice that you can offer.

In southern California, like in your area, people that have truck campers are few and far between.

Doug
