"Group" has to do with the physical size of the battery. And normally, the bigger the battery the higher the capacity (there are exceptions to every rule). Rather than retype a bunch of material, I'll point you at an excellent resource on the net:

Just a bit down the page there's a chart that gives dimensions and capacity estimates for the various groups.

Are you sure that you got a deep cycle battery? I'm betting you meant to type "CCA" - Cold Cranking Amps. That spec is typcially used with starting batteries. Deep cycle (or Marine) are more commonly spec'd with AH - Amp Hours.

If it is indeed a deep cycle, perhaps. If it's not, then you need to replace it.
