If I had the plans, I'd post them for free. But I don't, so I can't.... Yet. It's something I want to work on, but it takes some time and some skills with AutoCad that I just haven't gotten around too.

Well... My trailer has been my windsurfing garage for about 8 years now here in Texas, and I've seen nothing to make me think that it has been bad for my gear. I have sails and boards that are very close to the roof of my trailer. I did use some of that blue styrofoam board to insulate the ceiling. But that was as much to protect my hands/arms as the equipment.

Now, my Wells Cargo does have flow through vents. One is low and one is high, so there's some natural convection in warm weather. I used to put a small computer fan in one of the vents to draw more air, but stopped doing that several years ago. I do sometimes pop the roof vent during prolong days of 100+ degree days, but that again is as much for my comfort as anything else.

If you're very concerned, I would mount some of those solar powered vents that you sometimes see on sailboats on the roof of the trailer. Then have some intake vents low in the sides of the trailer... Or even in the floor.

I guess if I were super concerned about the heat, I'd take the time to paint the roof of my trailer white. I may still do that. But mostly because the galvanized tin is starting to look kind of rough, with a bit of rust in a few places.

Which leads me to another tip. Don't park a trailer level. Tip the front or back up a few degrees. This will help prevent water from puddling anywhwere on the roof.

Yes I have, but not on such a large scale. I have friends from Germany who I see every Spring and Fall down at the Texas Coast. Besides windsurfing, they also kiteboard. They have an smaller inflatable that they keep fully inflated inside their cargo trailer. They simply store it on its side along the centerline of the trailer. The have a motor stand just inside the side door of the trailer. But then their motor is much smaller (a 9.9 hp I believe).

Your best bet might be to get a large trailer with a drop down ramp type of door. Store the inflatable on the floor with the motor attached. Then build racks that hang from the ceiling to hold all your gear.
