Subject: F-450 or 550 not needed for a Lance 1164

Wandered onto your website while surfing today. Glad you enjoy Lance. We are enjoying our 2003 1161. The hard true about needing an F450 or larger to haul the 1161 is only true if you stick with Ford.

Our 2002 Silverado 3500 has a camper rating of 4551 lbs and fully loaded, except solar, Fresh tank full, LP full, all our gear it weighs in at 4415 lbs. Going Down the road we're hauling 11,290 lbs on a GVWR of 11,400 lbs.

I'm not one to poke fun at Dodge and Ford, but the simple fact is those engineers need to put the 350 on a diet. Both trade away to much payload for excess sheet metal, and frills, IMO
