Hey Garey...

Since I've got a Ford, I probably don't have all the answers you need. But here's my best guesses below...

>The camper is a 2000 Lance 1030 with a 7 pin 1"
>diameter plug located at the front left corner of the

I don't believe there is a pre-made harness to make the connection. On my rig, a hole was drilled in the left side just below the bottom of the stake pocket. The dealer mounted a connector very similar to a trailer hitch connector, then ran the wiring down between the inner and outer walls of the truck bed.

My Ford has seperate wiring and fuses for trailer connections. So my dealer tapped into those wires for brake, running, back-up and turn signal lighting. The ground wire is just screwed into sheet metal. And the power lead comes from a solenoid/circuit breaker setup they added under the hood. My camper batteries get charged when the ignition is on and engine is running. The circuit breaker is 40 amps.

Doesn't have to be. I know people who use a pigtail between the 7 pin trailer connector and their camper. But since I pull a trailer, a second connector was needed anyway.

Hope this helps.
