I'm sure Lance feels great compassion for those individuals on that list. I also feel great compassion for those individuals, but their suffering and the many thousands of others that have been killed for other reasons deserve the same compassion. A murder is a murder!

HCLs would not have saved any of them. And after all that is what this topic is about. Most of the killers of anyone are prosecuted to the full extent of the law and receive the harshest sentences.

I asked Lance and now I ask you Sergio. What HCL would have changed anything about the Mattew Shepherd case?

This gay person is against HCLs because it weakens the Constitution, and that impacts on everyone's life! And for all the other reasons I mentioned in other posts, but mainly because I hate to see valuable time and resources squandered on something that in the end doesn't produce much, when that time and energy could be used to make some huge advances in other areas that impact us much more. LIKE GAY ADOPTIONS, GAY MARRIAGES AND EQUAL SPOUSAL BENEFITS!

And how fair is it to equate my position on HCL as lining up with Phelps and the right wing wackos? I also eat and breathe as they do. Does that also put me on their side?

LANCE; YOU TOLD ME THIS BOARD DEALT WITH THE FACTS AND NOT PERSONAL ATTACKS. WELL WHEN PEOPLE START LINING ME UP WITH THAT DEGENERATE, BIGOTED, DESPICABLE, PHELPS, BECAUSE THAT IS THEIR RESPONSE TO THIS TOPIC, I CONSIDER THAT A PERSONAL ATTACK AND I'M SORRY LANCE, BUT APPARENTLY THINGS ARE ALREADY DEGENERATING TO A LOW LEVEL AND I FOR ONE DON'T INTEND TO BE A PART OF IT.

It could have proven an interesting discussion, but as of now I've had my say and will regretfully bow out.

I made this position quite clear when you first asked me to discuss this on your board, and I also included it in my introduction to the board. I tried to present the facts as I see them without any disparaging remarks. I tried to be considerate and still get the point across, but I am very thin skinned about certain things. And being included in anyway with Phelps is just downright unacceptable. Think what you will of me but those are my feelings and you knew them before this debate. Hope we can still be friends and if you want to discuss anything on a chat, I'll be happy to do so.
