In order for everyone to feel they can be themselves in a community like Crzy House, respect must be there from others. Kids like Chris must feel safe to be who they are.

Everyone has something to offer this community, and it would be a shame if someone as wonderful as Chris does not feel comfortable for fear of being taunted, laughed at, or ostracized.

We need to do more than just say that we are a diverse community, we need to show it.

We need to put our own insecurities and ignorance aside and educate ourselves about each other and about issues that directly affect the quality of our lives.

We don't all believe in the same things, and that is a good thing only when we respect one another.

Chris is a person who had the courage to make a difference in the lives of his fellow students and his school. He put his physical safety on the line.

Very few people are willing to, or have the courage to do what Chris did.

RESPECT R-E-S-P-E-C-T.
