Subject: From the Free Republic someone wrote, "I don't care what he pokes as long as he votes right." to which others voiced their opinion that it DOES matter quite a bit. (more)
In reply to: Pete 's message, "Democrats?? According to the Fort Lauderdale Sun -Sentinel "But the majority of the smears came from ultraconservatives in Foley's own party. Foley ignored those GOP smears, choosing only to attack unnamed Democrats in a news conference this week." Here's the whole article." on 14:24:46 05/28/03 Wed

Its a concern, since, its clear, that he can be blackmailed (assuming he already isn't being blackmailed), and even worse, if he's been lying to people about this, then how can anyone trust him on any issue?

In his own personal life, if he's willing to lie, then how would I know, he's really a pro-lifer, or he's really for the second amendment, or he's really for tax cuts? His stands so far are good, but now that he might be in the senate, will he bend (no pun intended) to prevent or stave off harsh critizism? If being called gay is so rattling to him, how is he going to deal with the BS that he's also going to be dealing with?

I haven't even mentioned if he might be prone to manipulation from the gay agenda, or the risk of having even more dirt coming out on him that leaves him ineffective representing social conservatives as well as fiscal conservative interests.
