Subject: I generally don't believe in flags and flagwavers, but I guess the US flag needs indeed to be protected frome certain people. Some days ago I found the stars and stripes actually are of some use even for me. First, the US flag helps to find the post office in rural USA (ok, I've known this for many years and didn't discover it just now), but the second purpose is fairly new.

It helps to identify scam.

Whenever in the Iraq war the US flag had a "special appearance" in an image depicting US troops during a particularly historic or heroic moment it turned out that this moment in reality wasn't much more than a propaganda photo op.

Some unnamed US troop carries with him the US flag that supposedly flew over the Pentagon at 9/11 and spontaneously decides to climb up the ladder to throw it in Saddam's face?

An extremely dangerous and hurried rescue action and it's not only that one of the rescuers quite incidentally carries a camera with him. Another one finds a flag in the back pocket of his camouflage suit and the time to shove it into the picture?

Yeah, right.......

Note: As long as Bush and his neocon junta are in power, whenever you see the Stars and Stripes in an uncommon place (other than the post office and similar places) - RED FAKE ALERT!!!
