Subject: A little comment. In a really free society Family and State should be separated.
In reply to: Drew Greyfox 's message, "so all married people oppress all unmarried people. Guess we should abolish marriage altogether, then nobody will be oppressed right? From all that I have seen money is a very small priority in the fight for gay marriage..." on 18:51:17 05/23/03 Fri

No laws about marriage and family. Everybody may marry anybody. Rights and responsibilities about property, children etc. are just legally made contracts, as any usual bargain. No aliments, no sodomy laws, no family benefits, no divorce trials. Love is love, business is business and if you like to have a spouse of the same sex or thirteen wives or forty husbands or whatever you want --it’s your own busyness. But signing your marriage contract be as careful as buying a car or a house. Nobody must be forced to pay for your mistakes.
My best regards.
God damned democracy.
P.S. to Drew. About "if you don't get, you pay". I don’t want to spread a huge theory on this small piece so just an example. When President Bush raised traffic tariffs on steel, producers of steel in America have got some benefits, both employers ( billionaires) and employees ( workers). But money don’t fall from havens. Who does pay for that? Everybody who buys steel. Instead to buy cheep Japanese or Korean ( or New Zealand!) steel he is forced to pay to Bush’s cronies.( It’s democracy! Not the handful of steel barons gave their voices to Bush but millions of workers connected to steel industry).
God damned democracy.
