Just reading some entries from later years sounds like duty was better in the 70's than in 67-69. We only had two flts. Worked 12- 15 days before we got a day off. Went from one shif to the other on the 15th og each month.

Hi. In response to your comment with your years at Clark ... I was there from 66-67 and wondered if we knew any of the same handlers.

Hello, I was stationed at Clark AB '75' thru Jan 1977, and yes the tour of duty was great! I was one of the first women to sign up/ sent to Clark as a Dog handler...I loved the job! I not sure how much better it was than when you were there, but I do know that had great people to work with and hours were not that bad, 3 swings/3 mids and 3 days off. We were on alert for about 2 months and that was 12 hours on and 12 hours off straight, 7days a week, for those 2 months (NO days off)ZI thought I was going to die, I don't know how you did it when you were there with just 2 flights to rotate from? Damn , must have been hard, "Perez " Yvonne

Last I heard about Col. Daigle was in 1980-81ish. He was retired and selling real estate in Alburqueque, New Mexico. I also recall Capt. Lamb. He retired in 1976-77. Hope this helps. Coreen Eklund CAB "C" 3rd SPS/RP, Pass & ID, "C"3rd LES.

Wow. Reading all these posts really brought back the good ole memories. This one really hit home. I forgot about the long hours we worked [67-69]. It sure made our one day off that much more valuable. My biggest memories from that time regard working town patrol, the bars in angeles, the King riots, looking for intruders, working the main gate and finding all sorts of stolen stuff "hidden" in cars, bagio, manilla, hanging with the PC's, watching movies at the outdoor theater in the rain with temp being 90, and of course water buffalos. Who could ever forget the water buffalos. Working the ERT with the .30 cal machine gun we never even test fired was always a good job. Gen B O Davis was the Base commander back then.

Anybody remember the airmans club happy hour...2 drinks for a quarter. plus the three bands that would perform in one night. I saw roger miller perform at the airmans club. Oh also was on a honor guard for bob hope and raquel welch. I wish i could remember the names of the guys I worked with.
Anybody remember the subic bay ammo run? That was always wild.
