Just wanted to let everyone now that we just released QLaunch V1.5. Here is the new functionality:
Update Description
QLaunch v1.5 allows you to launch three additional applications or special functions from each of your device's hardkeys. Hardkeys include:
*DateBook
*Address Book
*ToDo List
*MemoPad/NotePad
*Voice Memo
*5-Way Navigator on Tungsten T
Other new features in QLaunch v1.5:
The graphic buttons were eliminated and replaced with text. This reduces the amount of RAM that QLaunch uses by 35%.
You specify how long the delay is between Short, Long, and Longer key holds.
A new confirmation is available, called "Flash". Flash will blink your entire screen image once for each hold type.
In addition to the four main hardkeys, you can also now map the Voice Memo button as well as the 5-Way Navigator on the Tungsten T.
In addition to applications, QLaunch allows you to map the following special functions to your hardkeys so that you can keep the slider closed on the Tungsten T:
*Launcher -- Goes to Application Launcher.
*Keyboard -- Pops up a numeric or alpha keyboard depending on what type of field you are on. Will only pop keyboard if you are on a text-entry field.
*Find -- Pops up the Find dialog.
*Star/Pref/Calc -- Like tapping the "Star" key on the Tungsten. Launches whatever you have mapped to the "Star" key.
*Toggle Light -- Toggles your backlight.
*Beam Receive -- Initiates a one-shot Beam Receive i.e. turn on beam receive. After beam receive is complete, turns it back off. Like doing "shortcut .. i".
*Brightness -- pops up the brightness contrast slider.
*Menu -- Like tapping the Menu key.
*HotSync -- initiates a HotSync. This is great if you use a HotSync cable at the office or with your laptop. Just plug it in, hold the key mapped to this special function, and you're HotSyncing.
*Blue Prefs -- This will pop up the Bluetooth Preference Panel. This is very
useful if you are using WebPro or VersaMail and have forgotten to turn on Bluetooth in the Preferences Panel. This will take you to the Bluetooth Preference Panel (you can then turn on Bluetooth), and you can then tap Done and be returned to same application you were previously using.
*Popup Clock - This will pop up the World Clock application for 2 seconds
