Problems with version 4.0 -- QLaunch Palm OS5 System Extension

I have downloaded from PalmGear and installed version 4.0 onto my T3. I have noticed two issues:

1) It will not accept my old registration code. There is nothing mentioned about a charge for upgrading on PlamGear or in the ZIP. Is this a free upgrade and if not how much?

2) When I attempt to toggle beam receive, I get a reset. According to Crash, the error is "Irlib.c, Line:580, Cannot open infrared port in background (may be busy)" After the reset following the crash, it will toggle appropriately until I turn the device off. When I turn it back on and attempt to toggle beam, CRASH!
