THE ANSWER!!!!

OK here it is ..... the solution to my carb icing problems on my ZZR1100 D6.

Under the back of carbs there is a filter, white about 3 or 4 cms long. You have to remove to carbs from the engine to get access to the filter, its to difficult just fiddly.

I removed the filter, and took it apart. Inside there is a long thin filter which was completely stuffed up with gunge. Put this inder the tap and with a bit of encouragement from a bit of thin wire I got 99% of the crud out. Hey presto the hot water can now make its way to the carbs!! Obviously they have no been heated for sometime so I am pretty sure this is the answer. It got dark today but will test the bike tomorrow.

If your are having the same problems then check this filter out. NOTE its not the one on the left hand side near the fairing its actualy under the carbs.

Hope this helps others in the same siutation??

Cheers,

RichB.

PS I even asked a Kawasaki dealer and they didnt tell me this might be the problem..... do your own maintenance is the moral of this story. :-)
