i had a nightmare with mine, new clutch , new engine, new exhaust, thankfully all under dealer warranty. its a D2. and i love it.
the wife wants to swap it for a 600 for her to ride, yet everytime she goes on back she says i can keep it.
i went IOM on new tyres, shredded them, it kept up with R1's in the mountain section and i was 2 up.
tha machine doesnt give the best feed back , but it isnt a scratcher. its loverly touring bike that i thrash the nuts off. i ride mine hard, so i aint a typicall zzr owner, i see 120, 150 miles per tank still 40 mpg, and the new tyres now have 1300 miles on em, i predict they be legal limit by 1800.
the machine does everything asked off it, will putle in town at high gears no effort, and also will race anything from a set of traffic lights, its an all rounder, but its a mighty fine one.
best bike i owned, try one, worst ya can do is sell it on iff ya dont like it.
P.S i am 33 and weigh over 20 stone, the weight may have summat to do with tyre wear, but i dont really think so.LOL
