Subject: ZZR 600 oil change

I have a zzr600 E1, wish to change the oil but have add to abort the mission due to needing a real oil filer removal spanner.( cannot get the chain around the canister like on a car). Reading the Haynes manual it sounds like you have to remove the oil cooler to be able to remove the oil filter. Can you actually do it without removing the oil cooler? Do you have to separately drain the oil cooler?
If you do have to move the cooler and not drain it can you just move it on the rubber hoses without breaking the seals on the banjo bolts to gain access to the oill filter?

Thanks in advance for any answers.
Dav
