It's worth checking them. If a shim tightens up, which they are apt to do, it will burn out that valve. If they are in tolerance, or a bit loose, you have no need to do anything. If they are a bit tight, you need to take action or soon you'll be looking at removing the head and sorting out burnt valves and seats.
