Trees at sunset
black against the golden
darkened sky
rising up from roots unknown
daring to become one
They stand proud
against the blood striken sky
in unison,
forsaking the test of time
forming a scenic landscape
in the rhythm
of the branches
and the leaves
pulsing with the light
midst the shadows
playing
on new crystalline grass.
