Clouds flew over our heads
The rain came down and I
thought it would never end
The clouds blew swiftly across
the sky
In them, images of dreams long
past
Gliding further away
And then it was over
I could lift my head
And see in this place
Standing solitary,
But I knew something
was always here
With me, but I can't
take back what washed away
The riches of my youth
Currency of my dreams
Never to return
A debt I spent myself into
The void is dark and deep
But the sunshower cools the fires
And lights the way to some place
better
And now my time has come
To run away from here
Back to the place where the
storm began but I am safe for once
Where the sun lights the wilderness
and the frontier of my thoughts
Now that I have had my rest, my
season of rain
I walk to the burning rays of the
sun
Feel the water fade away
Following passionate colors
Shades of red shooting out
I walk the newly lit horizon
Onward to my destiny
