Tell me now, where to walk inside myself
To find the light that once guided me
In the daytime, I wander through the dwellings of collective thoughts
Shared communally with everyone and everything
A mass scream of voices drowns out my own
The heat, and the crowd gathered suffocates my breath
I stop and wait for it all to pass
I run away to another place, where dreams await
And walk side by side with the god in me
And the demons who dance around me
Because it’s here where I can take my
thought and feelings
Throw them to the wind blown of heart and soul
Insomniac in the night, though I still sleep
Awake in the day, but I dream it away
And behind me I feel golden sunlight of days past
And impassioned and ethereal mystery of future days ahead
But here, it’s all plastic pointlessness
I sleep in my cocoon, waiting to emerge new, someday
