I wrote this along time ago... Fall/Winter 2000, I think? For some reason it resurfaced while going through all my stuff... and now I remember why I wrote it.

You have blown me completely away so much in fact that no words can say
how much you have affected my heart with words of trust in the form of art
Followed in awe, and inspired -- it's true... fascinated by the work that you do

Reading each line, then caught by a word could this be 'bout me? Of course not -- absurd!
As I read on, there's so much more of the talk we had from the night before
Coincidence? Or do I inspire these words of truth of what you desire

Your trust and love mean so much to me... our friendship grows as each day, and you'll see
it's not my way to easily trust or show how much I care, though I know you must
have some idea that my heart is true and faith is here... if only for you

It's funny how friendships are... some only lasting for a short time, but they seem to affect our lives in profound ways.
