Past her prime, Min joyfully spends her life caring for her sick, foul-mouthed mother, Balbir. Today, for the first time in years, they're off out. Min's hoping to wish someone special a happy birthday, but Balbir's got greater ambitions for her daughter.
With Elvis the home help in tow, mother and daughter head to the local Sikh temple. When Balbir encounters old friends, a past trauma rears its ugly head.
In a community where public honour is paramount, is there any room for the truth?
This new black comedy is Gurpreet Bhatti’s second play in The Door. Her critically acclaimed first play at The REP, Behsharam (Shameless) played to full houses in both The Door and Soho Theatre in London.
