thanks for the help lg,
but its still doing it after i did all that...:-( i did 2 different scans, the avg and then the online scan and did the updates and rebooted and the thing is still changing my home page...

and on some sites its being really sluggish...the slider thingy jumps or sticks when i use it...

happen to know where i can get "detection for JAVA classes" or know how i can find the java file that is doing this, i have tried to use "find" and cant find it...

im really frustrated ......
