I wasn't talking about my circle of friends and acquaintances. I was talking about people here who act like so many government and other such people.

I WAS talking about you and others like you at voy, not about people in my real environment.

Take a look at the way the entire discussion went ... where all sides of the petition issue were asked to be considered rather than just going on one side of the problem. You know exactly what I'm talking about insofar as supporting michelle dawson's petition (with a very short deadline btw) and then having people on this forum accuse me of being a shill for the ASO because I believe that ALL sides of a situation must be weighed and considered before doing something as damaging as that petition was threatening.

Having a non-verbal autistic pitied at a public meeting really isn't the best way to get points across. Were there any verbal autistics being put on display for pity purposes at any of the meetings michelle refers to? No. So why do the pity party for one segment of the spectrum unless pity is what a person is hoping to establish.

And because I dared to comment thusly, I was told I had no understanding whatsoever of autistics. Ah! so because I'm an Aspie I'm obviously (based on the accusation) not a "real" autistic. OK. I get the drift here and I'm sure you do, too.

Not so. Posters accused me of not being what I am without knowing who I am. That most definitely is a fact. Just read some of the previous posts containing such comments. So your comments are misleading at best.

Not so. Read my previous comment in this post. It has nothing to do with anything other than the treatment received here with regard to the michelle dawson petition.

However Aspies who dare to comment on the fairness and responsibility of not reacting in a kneejerk fashion to a situation which they know only one side of are unwelcome. Just read the posts where I was told I didn't understand autistics, etc. Oh, this is getting old.

You don't want to believe that someone else could possibly NOT side with michelle dawson UNLESS they were part of the ASO or a shill for them. How welcoming is THAT?

Well then if that's the case, then you're right. I would never dare to accuse you of lying about your autism but fellow posters here have no problem whatsoever with making that accusation towards me. When I voiced my opinion I was accused of being a board member of the ASO. So that narrowmindedness started with posters here who didn't like that another point of view re: michelle dawson's petition, was being presented.

The autistics in question are some of the autistics here, lg. Or should I play your game and say "alleged autistics here"? No I won't because I don't play the same game some posters here do.

And once and for all get it through your head ... my circle of influence accepts Aspies as being part of the spectrum. They don't go around accusing me of NOT being what I am or accusing me of being a boardmember of a society or organization because I can see the fairness and responsibility in considering ALL aspects of a situation before endangering other people.

I would strongly advise that your fellow posters who think that falsely accusing people just because they're PO'd should take a look at their actions.

As for strongly advising me of anything ... when you can read my posts and see them as they are, then I may consider some of your "advising" and "advice". Until then, you cannot advise on what you do not understand.
