Consider the idea that the government can incarserate you for a crime. Where is your right to free association? If the government determines that private ownership of small arms is a threat to the power of the government, and have the ability to confiscate those small arms, where is your "right"? So-called rights are a matter of power. Whoever has the majority of power has rights. As we have seen during the Clinton regiem, the 2nd Amendment was held as a collective priviledge granted by the federal government to a federally controlled national guard, not as it was originally intended to be, an individual priviledge which could not be taken away by federal law.
