Good morning ladies and Merry Christmas! When I began my time with the FATHER this morning I simply asked HIM to allow me to see what HE wanted me to see, to hear HIS voice clearly, and to have a heart that would understand and receive what HE offers this morning. I asked HIM to allow me to see ONLY what HE wanted me to see today. I asked HIM to allow me to have a part of HIS heart...to see things the way HE sees them, to feel the things that HE feels. I am also asking HIM to give you HIS HEART. You see, I believe that when we honestly desire to have HIS heart, HE WILL GRANT US THAT REQUEST. Let's take a look at Psalm 102 for a few minutes this morning. My prayer is that you will be encouraged by this today.
Christmas is "the most wonderful time of the year." Right? That is what we hear all the time. Ladies, the sad reality is that though this is the time of year that we celebrate the greatest gift ever given, MANY PEOPLE go through this season with heavy hearts, and broken dreams. For many people this could well be the loneliest time of the year and the most heart breaking and heart aching time that they experience. I wonder this morning if maybe you don't find yourself falling into that category this year? You see, when we experience heart ache during the year, we feel it very keenly at Christmastime. We notice the loved one that isn't there, we notice the emptiness afresh and anew. Let's look at this Psalm.
Psalm 102:1-2 & 17-20 Hear my prayer, O LORD; let my cry for help come to YOU. Do not hide YOUR face from me when I am in distress. Turn YOUR ear to me; when I call, answer me quickly.
HE will respond to the prayer of the destitute; HE will not despise their plea.
Let this be written for a future generation, that a people not yet created may praise the LORD:
"The LORD looked down from HIS sanctuary on high, from heaven HE viewed the earth, to hear the groans of the prisoners and release those condemned to death.
I always find these verses so comforting. I love to be reminded that HE hears my prayers. HE hearts my heart. HE understands the pains that I feel and HE DOES NOT DESPISE MY CRIES TO HIM. Ladies, sit for a minute and savor those words. HE WELCOMES YOUR CRIES. HE waits to hear from you and HE will respond to your hurting heart. HE longs to release you from the prison of sadness and despair that you find yourself in this morning. HE looks down from heaven and sees our situation, and HE HURTS WITH US. Ladies, that is a GOD that we can praise even in our pain. HE is NOT just some god off in the cosmos that is uninterested in your life and your struggles. HE LOVES YOU! HE loves you so much that HE GAVE you HIS ONLY SON. Can I encourage you this morning if you have a broken heart this Christmas to take it to the ONE who can take those broken pieces and meld them back together? Ladies, would you stop right now and invite HIM to fill your aching heart with MORE OF HIM. Would you just ask HIM to fill all of the empty places in your heart right now? And then ask HIM to give you a longing for HIM that cannot be quenched! Remember this: HE DOES NOT DESPISE YOUR PLEAS! HE LOVES YOU!
FATHER, I come this morning and I ask YOU to wrap each lady in your arms today. Fill their hearts with peace that ONLY comes from YOU. Fill the empty hurting places with MORE OF YOU. Give them what ONLY YOU can give. FATHER, may we have heart's that LONG for you and then may we desire to long for MORE OF YOU. Thank you for Christmas. Thank you for giving us JESUS. Thank you for paying a debt we could never pay and for loving us with a love that we could never comprehend. YOU ARE SO AMAZING. In the Matchless Name of JESUS...AMEN!
Ladies, please know that I am hear if I can help you. Have a great day resting in the arms of YOUR GREAT GOD.
ONLY and ALWAYS Because of JESUS-
Vicky
