Hey Bobby:

My Father flew with some colored fellahs in the US Navy in WW II...he may have even trained them at Great Lakes Naval Air Station ??

In any event on a Liberty during the War Dad wanted to get a few drinks at the Elks Club in Glens Falls NY with his pilot comrades BUT as you might imagine....they were NOT white enough and the Elks would NOT serve them.

Well after a few rounds at Mercurios Tavern over off South Street Dad retrieved TWO...40 cal pearl handelled Colt Pigeon Pistols...they were Nickel Western Style 7 shot pistols...

Dad returned to the Elks Club and put 14 holes in the ceiling. Now That's a Piece Of Americana for the books huh.

I think they were a little WHITER when MY DAD left 'em in all that GUN SMOKE!
