An O'ahu grand jury today charged former Bishop Estate trustee Gerard Jervis with first-degree criminal property damage, first-degree terroristic threatening and operating a vehicle under the influence of an intoxicant, but the indictment added a new count of harassment.

The harassment charge alleges that Jervis "did insult, taunt or challenge" Lanikai resident Judith Wilson "in a manner likely to provoke an immediate violent response" or cause bodily injury or property damage to her.

The alleged harassment occurred March 7 at the scene of a confrontation between Jervis and four 17-year-old boys who allegedly threw an egg into his yard. Wilson went to the intersection of Aalapapa and Kaelepulu drives, where she gave a witness statement to police.

Paul Cunney, Jervis' attorney, claimed today there's no mention in Wilson's handwritten statement of any verbal contact with his client.

Jervis remains free on $40,000 bail and plans to turn himself in for booking on the indictment Monday, Cunney said.
