Rule revision/clarification as of 6-11-15
CECIL COUNTY DRAGWAY
Tri-State Fastest Street Car Challenge

Tagged and Insured cars and trucks only.
4 and 6 cylinder no minimum weight
Small Blocks 2800lbs
Big Blocks 3000lbs
Cars will be scaled immediately after a run
Any single power adder permitted
ALL cars must be driven in the gate.
ALL cars must be driven to the staging lanes and from the end of the run to the scales and into the pits. Towing is grounds for disqualification.
Instant green tree, 1/8th mile finish line, no time on scoreboards and no time slips. If you leave before the green it is a loss.
Cecil County Dragway will compile the top ten list based on performances on June 19th. The top ten list will be the 10 quickest winning ETs from the qualifying round.
You must pre-register for the June 19th qualifying event. Pre-register at the County Speed and Race Fuels building. Fee of $20 must be paid upon registration. Registration limited to 40 entries and will begin on Friday June 12th at 6pm. Registration will close once we reach 40 entries.
Minimum wager $75 and maximum wager $500. If the two parties cannot agree on a wager amount the race master will set the amount based on the amounts being negotiated. Refusal to race will be considered a loss. All monies to be handled by the race master.
You can only challenge the position above you. If you are not on the list you can only challenge the 10th position.
If you are challenged to a race and claim to be broken you will have 10 days to make the race or it will be considered a loss. If you break during a run including the burnout it will be considered a loss.
All challenges must go through the race master.
Road trip challenge: If you feel that your competitor is not a true “street” car you may challenge them to a road trip. The road trip challenge must go through the race master. Both vehicles will then be required to make the road trip. The road trip will be between 4 and 10 miles long and you will have a time limit set on how long you will have to complete the road trip. Once you complete the road trip you will be required to make your run without refueling and without cool down time. If you refuse to take the road trip you will be removed from the list, everyone below that position will move up one spot. The #10 spot will then be filled by a 10 car qualifying session. The quickest winning car from the qualifying race will fill the #10 spot. The qualifying session will be limited to the first 10 cars to sign up. A date and Time for the sign up will be determined upon the 10th spot being vacated.
In order to challenge the 10th spot, initially we will take the 11th through 14th qualifiers and race them against each other. The winner from that race will be the person to challenge the 10th spot. Once that has been finished and the race for the 10th spot completed the first 4 people to sign up to challenge the 10th spot will race each other for the chance to challenge the 10th spot. If you do not race in the initial qualifying race you will not be eligible to challenge the 10th spot until September 1st, 2015.
#2 through #10 spots must make at least one challenge and one race per month beginning on July 1st, 2015. Failure to do so will result in complete removal from the list. If someone is removed from the list, everyone below them will move up one spot. The #10 spot will then be filled by a 10 car qualifying session. The quickest winning car from the qualifying race will fill the #10 spot. The qualifying session will be limited to the first 10 cars to sign up. A date and Time for the sign up will be determined upon the 10th spot being vacated.
Races will be held on any Wednesday night and selected Friday nights.
Entry fee for the list qualifying is $20 in addition to the normal gate fees. Race fee is $20 per car for each race in addition to the amount wagered.
