Subject: New Orleans the Next Venice

The Old Venice has problems, but that was because it was designed back in the middle ages. We have the technology today to do it right.

Some of the benefits include fishing out of your kitchen window, Wealthy people moving in with their boats parked next to their houses like in CoCo Beach FLA., and Ft.Lauderdale. The poor of New Orleans could sell their property for a great profit. Parts of the city would remain dry. Flooding would be controlled when it's done on purpose.

I know other people are considering this but it isn't being taken seriously. It would fix the problem in a creative way. And it would bring in a good tax base.
But narrow minded jerks will level charges of raceism. Row boats arn't bad for people who are too poor to buy cars now. You won't have gangs of kids haning out on street corners when they have to tred water.
