"Tennessee Temple University is pleased to announce that Dr. Danny Lovett has been selected to serve as its 7th president. The Presidential search committee has spent the last two years in this search process. The committee interviewed a number of candidates and the decision was made to select Dr. Lovett.
Dr. Lovett, the seventh president in TTU’s history, has served as the Dean of Liberty Theological Seminary since 1996. Dr. Lovett’s degrees include a D.Min from Reformed Theological Seminary, an M. Div. from Luther Rice Seminary, an M.A. in Biblical Studies from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary, and a B.A. in Education from Liberty University. He has also authored several books.
Dr. Bouler, as pastor of HPBC and the current president of TTU, will assume the office of Chancellor to do fund raising and promotion.
Dr. Lovett’s presentation to the Board of Trustees will be at the May meeting after the graduation ceremony.
Dr. Lovett’s selection starts a new page in the school’s fifty-nine year history. Tennessee Temple, started by Dr. Lee Roberson in 1946, has a rich heritage in equipping students for ministry and service in their local churches and communities. TTU provides an outstanding academic preparation for careers in ministry, education, and business. "
