I had the honor of meeting ,speaking with, and hearing
Allen Vizzutti
play the trumpet today at Lee University in Cleveland,
TN . Allen as a trumpet player sounds much better
live. His trumpet sound is superb, very powerful. He
has a fantastic high note range, excellent note
selection, precise valve dexterity.
I was very impressed with Allen both as a person and
as a trumpet
player. I also had a chance to meet and have a very
nice conversation
with Allen's wife. Allen is a superb trumpet player,
his trumpet sound
is awesome, his jazz improvization is some of the
finest in the world.
Allen is one of the most versatile trumpet players
around, able to
play both lead jazz and symphonic music very well.
Allen is quite the
gentleman and he reminds meof "little Doc" in many
ways.
