I just felt compelled to say how much I enjoyed the gig last night. I was well into ska when I was a teenager and saw the Beat when I was 15yrs old at St Georges Hall in Bradford. Since then I've been more into indie and then us garage, house, soul, funk, rare groove etc. I'd sort of forgotton about ska. Twenty three years later a friend suggests we go see the Beat and I thought ok, I really liked them when I was young but I thought it wouldn't be as good as how I remembered them. I eat my hat! I've seen them for the second time and they were as fresh as ever. I've been smiling all day. Looking forward to Rio's at Bradford.
