I am looking for a used Fagerstrom electronic practice chanter and would also appreciate your comments on using one. I intend to only use it for travel and in places where I must not make noise.

Thanks. Bruce McLellan. blmcycle@aol.com

You may try Ebay. That's where I got mine and it was brand new. I think I saved a little over a hundred bucks. And like you said great for travel.

I have two of them - but don't intend to sell either.
I think you'll find "Scott's" is the cheapest (after can to US conversion).

Can you point me to some place where I can get some technical info on how to plug a Fagerstrom electronic chanter into an external speaker rather than earphones. So far, I can't get them to work with a speaker.

Thanks.

I've never done it, but I would certainly assume that the easiest method would be to plug a powered set of computer speakers into the mini jack on the fagerstrom.

Same jack, and it amplifies the very low power signal coming from the e-chanter.

Otherwise, a stereo mini jack to microphone jack converter, into something that is "pre amped" (like a tape deck) ought to do the job too, if you want to run it into your home system.

Perhaps the best thing to do is buy a big marshall tube head amp and speaker stack. A simple stereo mini jack to 1/4" line feed jack ought to suffice, and everybody in your state could hear you (and you could add a wah wah peddle, overdrive, and DISTORTION!)

Rock On!

I have had mine since June and love it. Just plug it into a standard jack for computer speakers and it works fine.

Hi,
I am trying to make a simple electronic practice chanter for an electronics project, but I don't know how to start designing the circuit. Any ideas on where I can get schematic diagrams for such a circuit? I haven't found anything on the internet
