Anyone know contact details for a pipe teacher in tokyo? actually I am just back from the tokyo highland games, and as usual at this time of year I feel inspired to put in the money/time/energy to learn the squeezing and blowing bit. I am not a complete virgin here, I did a year or so on the practice chanter at the old college of piping in otago street. It was a long time ago. Ronald Morison was my teacher. I could manage the fingering (but have forgotten it now) but the bag was beyond me mainly because I lived in a tenement flat and needed to get on with my neighbours. Now, I am in a position where I could try again, but I would need a teacher. In Tokyo. Ideally a pipe major type who is going to help me buy the bag and wrestle with the drones.@Any contact details? I don't use the internet very often but will will check back here later in the week in case anyone can give me some pointers.
Thanks for any help you can give me
fion

Hi,

Try my www.teachyourselfbagpipes.co.uk site. It's free,no catches. That should help you get started again and refresh your fingers, maybe give you some ideas as to how to get on to the pipes...

Happy 'piping.

Best wishes,

Lindsay Davidson.
