Easy there, boy-o! If folks come in once a week, whe won't have seen your message yet. Look how long after the original post her response was made fercryinoutloud.

Can't take these things too seriously or personally, eh? Its just pipe band, ya know?

Cheers -

Pete

Pete,
You are not aware that I emailed her too. Got her email from the dunsire forum.
I have this route before and know that AGE makes a difference.

So easy boy - seek first to understand the WHOLE story before you go correcting people.

Cheers!
Pat

You'd be better off with Lia Fail, just across the Delaware in Bordentown....

M. Belle,

Thank you for providing and alternative and I appreciate your intelligent and polite reply.

Pete Boom,
An apology would have been more appropriate. I really hope you are a casual piper and that you are not associated with any of the professional and courteous "real" pipers I have met.

Point - I don't make a habit of picking fights in public forums without explaining to others the reason - in advance.

Point - Not a piper at all - I'm a drummer, with little patience for people who feel put-upon by someone else.

Your post was about "the response you expected" - no response, seemingly. Presumably, you felt aggrieved by the lack of response - and further agrieved by the lack of response to the email. Do the rest of us need to know this? Further, as stated in your initial post in this thread, you are wish to learn and are older than most beginners, but not be any means all. Inverting these statements gives the impression that you believe the lack of response was to these factors, age and a novice, exclusively - or is there other information missing?

If this is not the case, I do indeed apologize.

If this IS the case, chalk the non-response up as a indicating a band you don't want to play with and find another. Some bands do not teach novices. Some instructors do not teach raw beginners over a given age. Some people haven't the time or habit to check email more than a couple of times a week. Do any or all of these apply here? Granted, a polite response in the first two cases would be nice. A response in the third case would be delayed.

Of course, it is also possible that you did indeed receive a response you did not like, and chose to take personally. That's your choice. Right? Don't know you or the bands named in the thread. I've no grudge against the lot. Can't imagine why I would.

Ah well...
