Nadav is correct.

The word used in Isaiah 30:29, Ist Kings 1:40, and Jeremiah 48:36 is CHalil (CH = guttural as in Scottish Loch), and mean flute. Chalil goes all around the ancient middle east from Akkadia to Babylon to Ethiopia to Aram, meaning flute, something like a reed, or wood, hollowed out, with holes. No reference to hide bag (CHemet). "bchalilim machlilim" is often translated "piped with pipes," but even in English pipe as a musical instrument for hundreds of years was more likely to mean 1) flute like, or 2)a double reed instrument such as the pibcorn or crumhorn. All bagless.
