i know... my advise is only if you have really hard reed and you want to weaken him. its better then sanding, and there is no risk of destroying the reed in the process.
if you dry your reed after every time you wet them, it wouldn't destroy your reed that much.

I know you mean well, but you're dead wrong on this one. NEVER SOAK A REED!!! Unless it's someone that you don't like and you want to destroy their set-up. :)
