Hummm...
let's see, bagpipes ................$1000 - $3000
kilt, hose, Prince Charlie, etc.....$1500
years of lessons....................$2000
time value of practice thru yrs.....$????
Maint/upkeep of equipment...........$ 300 per year
Countless hours and years
of playing with a band.............$????
Value of your good memories
of a great day, just the way
you dreamed of it,
to remember all the

Portable CD Player= $50
Piping CD= $20
There you go, all that for under $100 bucks. If you consider $200-$300 for a good piper to create a lasting memory an outrageous amount then maybe you should just hire a polka band. (no offense to any polka bandsmen out there.)
