I have been piping for about 15 years and I have played Gibsons the whole time. Excellent bagpipe. I bought another in the last year or so since they, thank goodnes, switched to a different mount material. So my mounts don't look like Tupperware anymore! lol I love the tone that both my pipes put out and I agree, you can't go wrong with a Gibson, Maclellan, Naill or Shepherd. One thing I will caution....look at customer service of the dealer you are buying from. Make sure the dealer is going to back the product he sells or at least will handle any returns or problems for you with the manufacturer. Finding a good dealer is another BIG ingredient to getting a good bagpipe. Good luck to you!
